Debriefings

In many cases during one-on-one and group defusings, techniques used to educate and alleviate adverse or maladaptive stress responses, we find that additional help is needed. Often, because of an extended time between the experience of the traumatic event and the access to help, the mind and body already begin to try to put up defenses that actually hinder resilience and adaptation to stress.

In these cases, a debriefing may be in order. Debriefings are more detailed versions of Defusings. Often these are done with the assistance and supervision of a trained mental health professional or counselor. They may also be overseen, in some cases, by a pastoral counselor. In any case, debriefings, though less frequent than other forms of help, are very successful at helping members of a group to deal with their experiences and alleviate adverse stress responses.

Faith-Based

Our program is rooted in Christian values of caring and seeking the best for others. This is NOT a religious program, but a program based on the principle of love and care for one's neighbor, regardless of his or her own religious convictions. There is no preaching or judgment. Only a desire for your physical and mental well-being!

Scientifically/Psychologically Sound

We use proven techniques in helping and educating others in how to manage their stress response, how to alleviate future stress problems, how to take care of the mind and body in order to build resilience, and help people get their lives back on track. Our proven techniques, in use since the 80's, reduce lost work hours, reduce medical and mental health costs and reduce the incidences of PTSD, anxiety and depression in many cases. THIS IS NOT MENTAL HEALTH. In some instances, it may be necessary to refer a client to outside care.
